Forced to rest.
Rest is probably the one word I hate most in sports. I’m one of those that like to never stop. Nevertheless, there come times that even I have to be reasonable.
One of those times is now because I fell on my wrist during a game last weekend. Even though, it’s not bothering me anymore, I need to think about the ultimate goal – participating in the Paralympics – which is more important than a few practices this week.
Many athletes oversee the importance of rest, which leads to even more severe injuries. So even though I hate to rest, I understand how important it is and follow through with it.
Also, rest gives opportunities for other activities and makes me hungry to get back, so it’s not completely bad.
I can’t wait for our trip to Australia next Friday!!
